Cooled diode ion vacuum pumps NMDO-0,1 (NORD-100) are used for oil-free extraction of gases and gas mixtures (air) from vacuum systems and creation of high and ultrahigh vacuum. Ion vacuum pumps NMDO-0,1 are used as a part of vacuum processing equipment.
Cooled diode ion vacuum pumps NMDO-0,1 are not intended for extraction of inert gases and continuous pumping of hydrogen (inert gases and hydrogen can be pumped only as impurities in chemically active gases with atomic weight higher than 14). Their capacity is reduced if they are used to pump hydrocarbons. Inert gases can be extracted by ion vacuum cooled pumps NMDOI- 0,1.
We recommended to use ion vacuum pumps NMD-0,1 or NMD-0,16 instead of cooled pumps NMDO-0,1.
NMDO (NORD) pumps have several advantages over NMD pumps in their work at starting pressures and elevated pressures, but cooling of the pump is pointless at the pressure of 1*10-4 Pa. At the same time, NMD pumps provide almost ten times smaller residual pressure, have simpler design, smaller pump weight and dimensions. Besides, the price of NMD-0,1 pump is 57 % of NMDO-0,1 price, and the price of NMD-0,16 is 79 %.
The pumps are supplied in a moderately cold climate modification category 4 according to GOST 15150. Ion cooled pumps are powered by special power supply units (further – BPM), not included in the delivery package of the pump.
Cooled diode ion vacuum pumps NMDO-0,1 are produced only in one modification of the connecting flange to the pump body: according to OST 11 868.007 (FO).
Example of identification code that can be used to order cooled ion pump NMDO-0,1:
NOTE: Power supply units BPM-25mc for cooled ion the pumps are supplied by a separate order, together with the pump or separately. Key features of cooled vacuum pumps NMDO-0,1 and NMDOI-0,1 are shown in the table below. Design and basic dimensions of counter flanges of ion vacuum pumps are shown in the Appendix. Basic specifications of BPM power supply units recommended for our pumps are shown in General specifications of ion vacuum pumps.
